Are you considering moving to New Jersey? I hope this website will help you with your decision and search for a good home, whether it is a house, apartment, townhouse or condominium.

With a population of more than 8.7 million people from all walks of life, the State of New Jersey, also called the Garden State, is a great place to live, study, work, raise a family and even retire.

New Jerseyans, or New Jersey residents, have almost everything - cities, parks, golf courses, beaches, nightlife, culture, history, entertainment, and much more. With its close proximity to New York City, New Jersey is also a convenient choice to live for people working in the Big Apple.

As a background, New Jersey is home to many famous individuals like Thomas Edison, United States Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton, United States Presidents Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson, Writers James Fenimore Cooper, Joyce Kilmer, and Walt Whitman, Patriot Molly Pitcher, Red Cross advocate Clara Barton and Football coach Vince Lombardi. Famous musicians from or with significant connections to New Jersey also include Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Bruce Springsteen, The Isley Brothers, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, Jon Bon Jovi, Queen Latifah and Lauryn Hill.

You will also find many of the top-ranked U.S. schools in New Jersey like Princeton University, Rutgers University, Stevens Institute of Technology and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. New Jersey has one of the best public education systems in the United States, with 54% of high school graduates continuing on to college or university. New Jersey also has the highest average scores for advanced placement testing in public schools in the nation and is ranked first in the nation in funding K-12 education. New Jersey is home to more scientists and engineers per square mile than anywhere else in the world.

New Jersey is also rich in history with sites like Edison National Historic Site, Ellis Island National Monument, Emilio Carranza Crash Site and Monument, Grover Cleveland's Birthplace, Monmouth Battlefield State Park and the Morristown National Historical Park, as well as museums like the Liberty Science Center, the Montclair Art Museum, the Newark Museum and the Thomas Edison Museum.

There are many ways to get around New Jersey. If you drive, you will certainly enjoy driving the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Public transportation is also widely available with the New Jersey Transit buses and trains, AMTRAK, PATH, ferries and privately owned bus carriers. New Jersey is also home to the Newark International Airport and smaller airports like the Atlantic City International Airport, Trenton-Mercer Airport and Teterboro Airport.

Recreation and entertainment in New Jersey are also topnotch. Soak up the sun at the beaches in the Jersey Shore like Asbury Park, Belmar, Cape May, Sandy Hook and the Wildwoods. Root for the New Jersey professional home teams like the NBA's New Jersey Nets, NHL's New Jersey Devils and NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets. Watch the exciting races at the Meadowlands, Freehold and Monmouth Park Race Tracks. Bring your kids to the Bowcraft Amusement Park, the Land of Make Believe or Six Flags Great Adventure. Go camping and hiking at the Appalachian Trail, Camp Glen Rey or the South Mountain Reservation. Then there's Atlantic City, with the world's first boardwalk and New Jersey's longest at 4 miles long. Atlantic City promises nonstop entertainment with its casinos, nightlife, fine dining, spas, world-class entertainment, shopping, golf, fun attractions, fishing and water sports.

So consider New Jersey your next home. I invite you to learn more about the counties that I specialize in, namely Bergen County, Essex County, Hudson County and Union County.
